Hattiesburg Chiropractor, Dr. Brian Page
"I wish I had known then what I know now about chiropractic."
Growing up as an athlete, it would have been very beneficial to know that chiropractic care could have improved my athletic performance and prevented injuries. Most importantly, my overall health could have been optimized by routinely receiving chiropractic adjustments. As someone who has always exercised and maintained a healthy diet to be pro-active about my health, chiropractic was very compatible.
There were many things that were attractive about becoming a chiropractor. The conservative non-invasive preventative approaches were really unique characteristics. I learned that chiropractors were trained to detect and correct misalignments in the structural system that could affect nervous system function. Which is very important since the nervous system controls every system in the body such as the cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, immune, and many others. I also discovered that chiropractors would discuss exercise, diet, and other pro-active lifestyle topics with their patients to encourage preventative healthcare. I thought it would very rewarding to optimize the functioning of patients nervous systems while simultaneously empowering them with advice on how they can actively improve their health. That is why I chose to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.
A Chiropractic Education
I am originally from Hattiesburg. I graduated from Oak Grove High School, and then attended Mississippi State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree. Next I attended Life University's School of Chiropractic in Atlanta where I earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In June of 2010, I relocated back to Hattiesburg to begin practicing.
My Philosophy
The body is an incredible machine that is capable of wonderful things. My philosophy is that by detecting and correcting spinal misalignments by adjustments, the patient’s nervous system will have the ability to operate efficiently and thus improving the functioning of every system in the body. I really enjoy working with all types of patients. Pregnant women and children are one particular patient base that is very rewarding to work with, using techniques that are very specific for pediatrics and pregnancy. While interning in Atlanta, I had the opportunity to work exclusively with athletes in a multitude of sports. That experience provided me with the knowledge to address athletes needs for their specific sport.
I have a wonderful wife that I been married to for three years. We are expecting our first child in November, and are very excited to start a family here in Hattiesburg. Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you and learning what I can do for you. Give me a call at (601) 450-5060 or email me at rahaimpage@hotmail.com so we can take the first step to improving your health!
